The Crone Fund and Raffle

The Crone Fund is the WomenCircles campership program and is designed to provide assistance to women of all ages who need financial help in order to come to camp. The Crone Fund was originated by camper Melody Masi, and grew out of her initial effort to collect enough money to bring  Tiger, a long-time camper and crone, back to WomenCircles after she had moved out west. The project was such a success that it was continued year after year and was called the Crone Fund. Funds are raised through the generosity of the WomenCircles community by means of a raffle that is held at camp each year. Donations of both money and/or items to be raffled are welcome: Art work, Crafts, Gifts, Services. The (sometimes rather dramatic) selection of raffle winners occurs the last night of camp, at the banquet.  It is all a lot of fun and over the years the proceeds from the raffle have enabled many women of all ages to come to camp.
