Last year, thanks to all who gave, we were able to say YES!
YES! To offering 10 scholarships to the program, “Men, Women, and War” to people whose lives have been affected by war: veterans, peace activists, young people facing the possibilities of a draft, families who have lost loved ones in the war.
YES! To providing financial assistance so 6 writing students from Springfield College could write with Grace Paley and 10 Black and Latino students from Lawrence High could sing with Ysaye Barnwell.
YES! To expanding our parking lot to provide safe and adequate parking in the winter, replacing a section of roof on the Rec Hall to prevent damage from ice damming, buying new carpets for the “rug room”, and putting a new floor in the Rec Hall dining room and a new roof on the Meditation House.
