Bartering/Work-Exchange
We don't want to exclude people who have financial constraints, so we have
a work-exchange program available. If you are having trouble meeting
our costs, please contact us about barter opportunities, which are possible
when an agreement is made in advance. There are three general categories
of work-exchange:
-
KP Supervision - During the workshop or camp we can use one or two people
(three for longer workshops) to supervise the cleanup of the dishes from
each meal along with setting the tables for the following meal. This
pays an equivalent of $10 per hour against the program fee only, so for
a regular conference weekend with 6 meals this would be a $60 reduction
in your program fee.
-
Changeover - For up to two days prior to or following the workshop or camp
people can help us doing changeover. This pays an equivalent of $7/hour
against the program fee only.
-
Other help - If you have trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, gardening)
or bodywork skills (e.g. licensed massage therapist), other options are
available for bartering. Please contact us!
Group Discounts
Couples from the same household, coming to the same program get a 10% discount.
We offer a 10% discount to all members of groups of 4 or more coming to
the same conference, and with enough notice we will even give you your
own cabin or dorm room, so get your friends or group to join you.
With groups of 5-8, the organizer of the group can come for half price.
For lagre groups, the organizer can come for free. Can't decide?
We love people who love our programs, so if you sign up and make deposits
for four programs, we'll send you a gift certificate for a fifth weekend
free.
Camp Discounts
A 10% discount is offered to families whose total 2001 Rowe Camp expenses
are over $1,400. We also offer you a $25 discount for each new campter
you bring to any of our adult camps!
Camperships
Each year, Rowe Camp gives out over $10,000 in partial camperships to children
who otherwise would be unable to attend summer camp. In addition,
campers are referred from the Big Brother/Big Sister program in Greenfield,
the Greenfield Family Inn, and the Child and Family Services in Northampton.
If you would like to apply for a campership for a youth camp, please register
and click the Campership Aid button. Note that the deadline for applications
for campership aid is April 15.
We have many needs for barter and work-exchange
for adult camps, so if you'd like to lower the fee please try that route
first. There are very limited funds to support attendance to the
adult camps, if you're interested in applying please make a note on your
registration for the camp and we'll contact you.
