The Enneagram is a penetrating and, ultimately, a liberating tool for understanding human nature at a more conscious and profound level. As we continue the process of being present, our consciousness clarifies and our awareness shifts. We discover that we are more than our personalities and begin to see ourselves and others differently. The better we know ourselves and the people in our lives, the more harmonious and satisfying our relationships become. Thus, our inner work not only shifts our perception of ourselves but it gradually impacts every other aspect of our lives.
This experiential workshop is for people new to the Enneagram as well as professionals, therapists, and those already familiar with other approaches to the system. It will combine precise psychological insight into the inner workings of the types, guided meditations, small group work, music, and other tools to lead participants toward a more direct experience of qualities of essence such as presence, clarity, compassion, and joy.
If you are not familiar with the Enneagram, we recommend reading The
Wisdom of the Enneagram or Personality Types by Don Riso and
Russ Hudson before you come to the workshop. They will be drawing on work
from these books as well as more recent, unpublished material.

"Most of our unhappiness comes from the habits, fears, defensive patterns, and the self-defeating reactions that our personality backs us into. We can find a way to loosen up the personality-to the extent that we can find a way to have another relationship with our personality. When this happens, we have much more inner freedom. Over time, our personality structures can go from being heavy, 'wrought-iron' structures to something more light and flexible. The personality will still be there, but it is no longer constricting or causing so much suffering." - Don Riso and Russ Hudson
