The Flower Conference

Kate Gilday, Pam Montgomery, & More
June 1-3

Flowers open the ancient doors to discovering the healing power of nature through fragrance, color, essence, and beauty. Their scent can arouse deep feelings, awaken memories, and fill our hearts with delight. Every floral blossom holds a healing essence, a concentration of sunlight's energy, and the flower's own unique vibration. The mere presence of flowers in the form of a fresh bouquet or adorning a garden walk brings a smile to the face and a spring to the step.

Celebrate spring by joining us as we walk the beautiful woodland paths at Rowe, sing in celebration of the flowers, and share with one another the joy and fullness of the Green world. Here in this lovely setting, we delight in exploring and sharing flower essences, aromatherapy, edible and medicinal flowers, plant spirit medicine, helpful new gardening information, and much more. Music, fabulous food, indoor and outdoor workshops, an evening fire circle, a flower and plant and herb emporium, and sacred circle dancing will all be part of this wonderful gathering.

At our last conference, Dorothy Maclean, co-founder of Findhorn, entranced us with her stories of the early Findhorn garden days. We are now delighted to present Keynote Speakers Marion Leigh and David Steel of Findhorn Essences in Scotland. Their delightful line of flower essences are prepared from the legendary gardens of the Findhorn Community. Along with their evening presentation, Soul Healing, Soul Purpose, they will offer two other workshops.

Come deepen your awareness of the spirit that moves through all creation in the woodlands, meadows, and forests of the northern Berkshires. The trees, plants, birds, and wildlife weave a beautiful, magical, and timeless web in this lovely setting. Experience nature in her finery, sparkling in the creek, sweeping through the soft grasses, dancing on the breeze. This participatory retreat will have several workshop choices at each time period, with classes for everyone from beginners to professionals. We'll begin with an opening circle at 4 on Friday and have the first workshops at 5:15.

We gather outstanding teachers in the realm of healing with flowers to share their expertise and wisdom. They include Pam Montgomery, founder of Partner Earth Education Center and author of Partner Earth: A Spiritual Ecology, Kate Gilday and Don Babineau of Woodland Essence, Don Cerow, astrologer from Athena's Web, Steve Johnson of Alaskan Flower Essences, Kathrin Bateman of Fox Flower Essences, David Dalton of Delta Gardens, Deb Soule, founder of Avena Botanicals and author of Roots of Healing, Hart Brent of Flowers of the Soul and Heron Herbals, Lillian Jackman of Wilder Hill Gardens, Nanci Wesling of Featherhawk, and Cyndie Siegel of Flower Vision Research. A special musical performance, "Green Flame: The Power of Seeds," will be presented by Sarah Pirtle. We honor and thank our sponsors: Crystal Concepts, Flower Vision Research, David's Garden, Flower Essence Society, and Kuumba Made. We dedicate this conference in loving memory of our dear sister and conference partner Gail Ulrich, who touched many with her radiance and grace before passing into spirit on July 23.

Here in this wild field devic spirits surround me.
The very being and essence of Sunflowers,
Blackeyed Susan, Wild Bergamot and Blazing Star
Soothe me
Here
In this quiet kingdom,
The sweet cacophony of birds
and drone of bees
I am at peace
My medicine is here
I need no doctors, no shamans
I am bathed in color and sound
Violet heals my spirit
Golden yellow heals my mind
Sun and earth glorify these devas
I need no shaman
My medicine is here
In this wilderness
Is my medicine
