The Expanding Spirit of Women's Erotic Experience

Gina Ogden & Prue Berry
Sept. 14-16

For women, sexuality and spirituality are linked at the source. Deep sexual satisfaction is more than just physical release; it's a sense of oneness with the Great Spirit. It can create new pathways in the brain powerful enough to heal histories of abuse and postpone signs of aging. But our culture artificially divides sex and spirit, a division that rigidly restricts our sensuous, soulful, playful, powerful selves. "Nice girls don't even talk about it" has held us prisoners of our own desires.

It's time for us to dismantle these destructive "good-girl/bad-girl" judgments and give voice to the intelligence of our bodies. As we visualize our deepest longings, we discover new connections between physical desire and spiritual consciousness. As we make room for joy and fully own the energies of our sexual-sensual selves, we become agents of a larger healing.

Join Prue and Gina in another magical, heart-opening women's journey to the sacred within ourselves -- the profoundly loving and creative vital life force within each one of us. We'll learn about the healing relationships between sexuality and spirituality, and hear the latest pre-publication information from Gina's groundbreaking nationwide survey about women and sex.

We'll experience how intimately our bodies are connected with Mother Earth as we explore sensuous inner and outer landscapes with Prue. We'll play with the elements -- air, fire, earth, and water. We'll create our own sacred spaces and learn ways of moving beyond fear, shame, and fragmentation and into closer relationship with ourselves, our partners, and the planet. We'll laugh, cry, make music, meditate, and nurture ourselves and each other. We'll ask for what we want. We'll honor the nature spirits that inhabit Rowe and connect with them through shamanic journeying. We'll create a safe container to look into our deepest sexual passions and compassions -- the ones that exist beyond cultural definitions. Women of all ages, beliefs, and orientations are welcome!

We will be making personal altars, so please bring some stones, shells, feathers, and other objects that speak to you. Bring drums, rattles, and other instruments if you have them. Above all, bring a sense of readiness to explore the merging of your body, mind, heart, and soul.

She was co-director of Rowe Camp and Conference Center for 17 years and continues to give guidance and host Rowe's weekends as Director Emerita. Women who have attended this workshop say:
"I learned that women thrive and blossom when treated with the information and dignity they deserve around their sexuality. The process focused on positive change, and people glowed as a result."

"The workshop inspired my breaking the silence, speaking out with other women. I find myself unfolding, awakening, expanding, gently and slowly to something that I've always known."

"When your research is published it's going to change the way we talk about sex."  --Oprah Winfrey to Gina Ogden
