The Whole You: Finding Freedom and Joy in Your Work!

Sandy Lovejoy & Barbara Reinhold
September 21-23

What's really happening for you in your work? Is your work an exciting, vital part of your life, or are you just making a living? Are you manifesting your own values or reluctantly serving someone else's? Do you want to develop in the same field or reinvent yourself? Remain an employee or become a free agent? Or both? Retire early or not retire at all? Are you using all your skills or wasting some of them?

The choices facing workers of all ages in this complex economic environment are many, confusing, and often difficult. This workshop offers you the opportunity to explore all these issues. An honest awareness of yourself and a strategic understanding of the changing workplace will lead you to find excitement, meaning, joy, and new energy for your work. Mastery of our livelihood is the core of self-esteem, because as much as half of our waking lives is spent at work. This weekend at Rowe will jump-start the mastery process for you.

The time with skillful leaders and wise companions will help you to clarify your hopes and visions, to name and appreciate your talents and values, as well as the "stoppers" that will surely try to get in your way. Experiences such as guided imageries, two-chair work, six-step reframes, targeted writing, and musical "journeys" will let you get to know yourself in new ways. You'll also explore the changing realities (exciting to some, unsettling to others) of work in the 21st century and learn how to choreograph a career dance that suits your own style and rhythms.

Let two highly-acclaimed body/mind counselors and workshop leaders help you to discover all of who you are-what you're looking for, what yearnings you have not yet fulfilled, and what you have to offer at work that either you or the world might not be appreciating fully. In an intimate weekend of sharing and brainstorming possibilities, experience yourself anew and prepare for the next phase of your work-life journey.
