Dr. Kalen Hammann has spent his career seeking (and finding!) answers to these questions. In this workshop we'll explore the most powerful answer he's found: an understanding of how people become DisConnected. "Under certain circumstances," Kalen explains, "it's as though the different parts of our brains stop working together. We're getting a distorted picture of the world, but we don't know it. Our ability to think deteriorates, but we can't tell the difference. We re-play things we've already tried, things almost bound to fail. We lose touch with other people and with our spiritual core. We feel that there's something essential missing, but given how the world looks our negative feelings seem appropriate. We all have times when we know we're losing it. The good news is, we can learn to read the signs earlier and learn to return to the Connected state - our natural home base - more easily and more rapidly. That means living far more of our lives with the clarity, confidence, and effectiveness that come from having all our strengths available to us."
This workshop is about how we get DisConnected, how to tell we're DisConnected, and how to ReConnect to our full faculties and our inner peace, wisdom, and joy. We'll explore the evolution of the three brains that live within our skulls and how they can be at odds with each other. We'll discover the connection between many of our most frightening global problems and our own and others' DisConnected states of mind, and what we can do about it. We'll learn the three signs we can use to tell when we're DisConnected and the two things we must never do if we are. We'll practice eleven ways to ReConnect to regain our peace of mind and our ability to think straight. We'll discover a powerful principle that can help us to stay in touch with what really matters. We'll find out what to do when someone else is DisConnected so we can turn a difficult adversary into a true partner. We'll learn what it takes to create a community of people who can support each other in living Connected lives. Each participant will also receive a copy of Dr. Hammann's new book, 101 Ways to ReConnect, to serve as a reminder and guide after the workshop.) This workshop takes place over the long Memorial Day weekend, ending with lunch on Monday, and costs an additional $75, but if you can only stay through Sunday afternoon, you're welcome for our regular fee.
