Interhelp is an international network of people who are concerrned about world conditions that threaten human life and the earth. Our mission is to help one another within our own communities to move from feelings of isolation and hopelessness to empowerment and action. We offer community gatherings and training in "the work that reconnects," deep ecology, and personal support systems.
The distinguishing characteristic of Interhelp is its three-fold integration of deep social concern (activism on behalf of social justice, human rights, peace, and the environment), personal psychological growth, and recognition of a nonsectarian spiritual core.
The intention of this gathering is to care for and replenish ourselves and each other. We acknowledge the pain and challenge of living in the shadow of fear, violence, exploitation, and denial, all of which threaten the very life of the planet. We will explore ways to sustain hope, build community, and celebrate our connection with all life.
The program will take place at Rowe, but for further information and to register, please contact Rick Gottesman, (518) 355-0744, rickgott@capital.net or Sondra Sprinkling at (518) 475-1929, risprin@attglobal.net
