Wonder Camp

Wonder Camp: A Celebration Of Life

May 18-23

Wonder Camp, now in its third year of creating summer-camp magic for adults, is looking for wacky, diverse, interesting, fun-loving characters to share five days of laughing, smiling, and dancing in a community of warm celebration. Come experience the true spirit of togetherness and wonder with us.

Were you a Senior High Camper at Rowe? Was there another summer camp or weekend conference that was magical for you? Come to Wonder Camp, and feel that spirit again, or let us be your introduction to this beautiful mountain retreat in the Berkshires and the wonderful people who play here. At Wonder we have workshops, games, dances, art, love-letters, bonfires, chapels, saunas, nature walks, coffee houses, quiet time, trampoline jumping, bubble blowing, kite flying, and much more. We love to sing, talk, eat fabulous food, lie under the warm sun, laugh with the moon and sing with the stars. Previous years' activities included workshops in T-shirt making, "avant-gardening," sexuality and spirituality, belly dancing, and writing along with morning yoga and trips to Shelburne Falls and other local scenic areas. The infamous Rowelympics had us in stitches; the theatrical and mysterious treasure hunt blew our minds. In the evenings we danced and rocked (plugged and unplugged) at our fabulous coffee house. Our bonfires created safe spaces for contemplation and reflection. We will be repeating some of these events, and look forward to incorporating some new secret ingredients as well.

For the most part, Wonder Camp is what you make it. Feel free to sleep late, immerse yourself in the soothing hot tub, take a walk through the beautiful grounds, talk till you run out of words, or cleanse your spirit in the sauna.

We have created a community of unconditional trust and acceptance, where you can allow your true self to emerge -- and celebrate that person. The truly extraordinary people are what makes Wonder Camp what it is. There is a dynamic energy that is quite contagious and makes all things possible. We are actively looking for our numbers to grow, and we strongly encourage everyone to bring their friends and loved ones to share in this amazing experience. The staff and many of the campers have a strong background with Rowe, and Rowe's spirit of honesty, creativity, and respect resonates quite vibrantly through our camp. Please join us -- you deserve it!

Our camp is designed for people age 18 or older. All you need to come to this camp is a willingness to escape your normal life for a retreat that is above all playful and fun. We are creating a community of new friends built on the foundation of experiencing a new way of looking at life. We are celebrating all that is Rowe and all that is YOU! Summer camp is not just for kids anymore.
