Life is the journey of a soul. Each of us is living a story that gives us our strengths and our challenges; this story will happen only once in the annals of the universe. We have been given the secular, resources of the ego and the spiritual resources of the soul. We can gain insights that encourage us to move from the fear-based impulses of the ego to the love-based call of the soul.

The SoulCircling gives us the process to create meaning in our stories and describe where they are taking us.

We’ll share our stories in small groups that follow the traditional principles of the 300yearold Quaker “Clearness Committees.” We’ll identify our core passion, our talents, and our character. We’ll identify those attachments that keep us from attaining the soul’s purpose. We’ll come away with an exciting new image of the self and the skills we need to make that image become our reality.

Healing of Persons Exceptional is a nonprofit organization founded by Ken Hamilton in 1987. H.O.P.E.’s mission is to empower people to trust in life’s possibilities through the discovery of their own personal meaning, value, and purpose. H.O.P.E. is a community dedicated to helping people heal. Each of us has a unique set of experiences; we are not inherently broken, but whole. We’ve been wounded by the forces that are a natural part of life and it’s our birthright to be able to heal these wounds. Our power and strength lie in our ability to believe in our humanness and our innate abilities to remember our wholeness. We are all one-of-a-kind works of art. Hope expects nothing, and thus it makes everything possible.

Ken Hamilton grew up with medical doctors, social scientists, and Christian Science practitioners in a healing environment. At 11, he struggled to understand how health is related to love and the Source of all things. At 15, he committed himself to becoming a physician. A successful surgeon looking for more, he studied the effects of attitude on health for 12 years with Earl Nightingale and worked with Bernie Siegel and Jerry Jampolsky. H.O.P.E., a healthy, joyful process that builds a personal vision on the cornerstones of love, integrity, intention, and attention, was born in 1987. Dr. Hamilton has been president of the Maine Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, is a member of the New England Surgical Society, is a member of the American Holistic Medical Association, and received the Jefferson Award for Community Service. Soul Circling is an intensive process involving deep work in small groups. Ken will be assisted by Meg Gilman, Collie Lavigne, and Sue Vangeli, who all know this powerful work intimately.
