Were all kindred spirits when we enter this world, but we get hurt, or we forget, and we become separated. Kindred Spirits encourages authentic expression of feelings, acknowledgment of past pain, and a commitment to balance tears with laughter. We create a community to which many return year after year, sustaining and deepening relationships, and first-timers are welcomed warmly into the family. Explore lifeshops in relationships, awakening the heart, drumming, prosperity, nurturing the self, community building, creative expression, meditation, music, play, movement, and the healing arts. Immerse yourself in singing, dancing, campfires, 12-step and other support groups, a no-talent show, swimming, and lots of time just taking it easy. Join a safe community that supports you in taking your next steps in self-discovery and moving into your wholeness.
The directors are Susan Quinn, a body-centered experiential therapist who is committed to enlightened, informed choices for our bodies, our communities, and our world; Tom Allan, a spirited soul who is the outpatient director of an addictions treatment center; and Robin Leal, who facilitates spiritual and personal-growth workshops and is deeply committed to the 12-step process of recovery. Together, these leaders have over 30 years experience with Kindred Spirits Camp, and they assemble an amazing staff with many talents.
