Massage is a wonderful way for partners to support one another through loving touch and to reclaim our natural capacity for pleasure. In this workshop, we’ll learn hands-on massage techniques, intuitive approaches, and a way to be mindful of the intent that we put into healing touch. We’ll also integrate elements of movement, acupressure, meditation, reflexology, yoga, and stretching.

In a warm and supportive atmosphere, couples will explore ways to enhance active listening and use meditation, visualization, and quiet centering to achieve inner balance. We’ll learn the value of proper body mechanics in giving massage; breathing exercises and yoga designed to improve posture, strength, and flexibility; self massage and acupressure techniques we can use daily; ways to treat common ailments in adults and children, including stiffness and pain in joints, muscular fatigue, and anxiety; and relaxation through group sharing and humor.

Using touch in both harmonious and challenging times can contribute to more vibrancy and serenity in our work, play, sleep, sexuality, and communication. Combining movement, meditation, and massage can help us manage stress, renew ourselves as individuals and as a couple, and revitalize intimacy within the relationship. CEUs available. Come with your partner.
