In many ways, we are just beginning to understand the true nature of the heart, which is the first organ to form in the body. The heart contains extensive brain-like neural matter and puts out its own balancing and regulating hormones, instantaneously communicating electromagnetic and chemical information to the rest of the body.
The amplitude of the heart’s electrical field is about 60 times greater than that of the brain; the heart’s magnetic field is 5000 times stronger. When two people touch, the heartwave of one has been seen to register in the brainwave of another. Through our cardiac field, we can literally “reach out and touch” others about 8 to 10 feet around us.
With groups, the combined effect of the interaction of the heart fields creates a collective heart field, which offers a powerful space for healing work. As one group member goes deeper and gets closer to his or her core, the others in the group feel the energetic vibration of this “heart opening” and are energetically and emotionally touched.
When we join together and create a safe, sacred “heartspace,” the possibilities to grow, heal, learn, and connect are great.
In this workshop you will have an opportunity to experience both the power of your own heart and the collective heart power we can co-create. We will explore how our hearts become wounded and how we heal, how we can learn to offer “helping hands” to support one another, and the power of our non-verbal experience (silence, feelings, sensations, deeper thoughts) that can take us deeper than words. Our basic human needs include the need for abundant, nurturing non-sexual touch and holding, full expression of emotions, play and pleasure, satisfying and creative work, a satisfying sexual life, and contact with the natural environment. Hopefully, you will leave feeling emotionally and spiritually nourished, and hopefully a magical blend of energized and at peace.
