All Women are Welcome
Dec 1-3, 2006
Gina Ogden’s wonderful and wise new book, The Heart and Soul of Sex: Making the ISIS Connection, suggests that sex researchers have been asking the wrong questions about what women want. Gina’s nationwide survey, “Integrating Sexuality and Spirituality” (ISIS), found that deep sexual satisfaction includes a sense of oneness with our selves, our partners, and the Great Spirit. When body, mind, heart, and soul are joined, our lives are enriched and old wounds heal.
For ten years, Prue Berry and Gina Ogden have partnered in creating a heart-opening journey to the creative, vital, profoundly loving life force within each one of us. We’ll play with air, fire, earth, and water; honor the nature spirits; and explore our sensuous landscapes through shamanic journeying. We’ll laugh, cry, meditate, make music, and nurture ourselves and each other. We’ll create a safe and sacred space to look into our sexual passions and compassions, give voice to the remarkable intelligence of our bodies, discover new connections between physical desire and spiritual consciousness, and open to the joy and healing that can transform our lives.
The Heart and Soul of Sex is based on three principles: sex is energy, not performance; erotic satisfaction begins with self-esteem; and a supportive circle of sharing women can be life-changing. We’ll learn innovative ways to transcend guilt, shame, and “good-girls-don’t” messages, help heal the sexual wounds of abuse, violence, and addiction, create heart-to-heart communication in sexual relationships, and enjoy the life-long gift of our sensuous, soulful, playful, powerful selves.
Gina Ogden, a licensed marriage and family therapist, diplomate in sex therapy, and student of ceremonial shamanism, has touched and changed the lives of women all over the country through lectures, workshops, and appearances from talk radio to Oprah. She wrote The Heart and Soul of Sex: Making the ISIS Connection and Women Who Love Sex: An Inquiry into the Expanding Spirit of Women’s Erotic Experience. Please see www.GinaOgden.com.
Prue Berry is a warm-hearted, good-humored earth enthusiast who co-directed Rowe Conference Center for 17 years and continues to guide and host Rowe’s weekends as Director Emerita. A singer, guitar player, and seasoned workshop facilitator, she founded her own landscape design business, Sacred Spaces, to bring beauty into people’s homes, gardens, and hearts.
Women who have attended this workshop say:
“…one of the most sensual, deep, and delightful experiences I’ve ever had. I realized I’m not alone in believing that sex can be both sacred and fun.”
“Women thrive and blossom when treated with the information and dignity they deserve around their sexuality. The process focused on positive change and people glowed as a result.”
“ I find myself unfolding and awakening gently and slowly to something that I’ve always known.”
