This workshop introduces an incarnational spirituality, which views incarnation as a sacred act and the personal self as a generative spiritual force. These perspectives may seem unusual or surprising if we interpret spirituality as something beyond this world or wholly transpersonal or if we view the individual, personal self as something obstructive to spirit or the achievement of enlightenment. The premise of this workshop is that this physical world is as much a spiritual dimension as any other we may conceive, with its own unique set of challenges, benefits, and potentialities. By being here, we take on the possibility of making a contribution to planetary unfoldment and offer the gift of spirit in ways unique to each of us.
The material in this workshop is based on the supersensible observations and explorations of the spiritual worlds by David Spangler. The emphasis is on understanding the nature and process of incarnation (which isn't just for being born anymore!) and discovering spiritual resources within the personal rather than just the transpersonal. A major tool will be a new deck of cards called the Incarnation Deck, a meditative and oracular instrument created and designed by David. Themes covered in the workshop include:
Incarnational Gestation: Becoming a Self
