The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of curanderismo, as originated by don Oscar Miro-Quesada, is a form of ceremonial shamanic practice derived from the ancestral kamasqa curandero and hampicamayoq lineages of indigenous Peru. It is an extraordinary vehicle for accessing visionary dimensions of archetypal reality and connecting with inner sources of healing power and spiritual guidance. This aesthetically dramatic and sensually rich earth-honoring path appeals to those who resonate with the power in cosmic cycles, elemental patterns, and organic rhythms inherent in the natural world.

The Pachakuti Mesa lineage of cross-cultural shamanism is an experiential, soul-infused cosmo-vision that harmonizes celestial and earthly realms, embraces multidimensional realities, and integrates millennial indigenous wisdom teachings into our daily lives. Embracing such an earth-honoring shamanic path often results in a profoundly engaging mythic life that emphasizes experience rather than belief, hope rather than despair, and unity rather than separation.

This intensive retreat will be a didactic and experiential immersion into the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition. You will learn viaje con sombra (magical flight), rastreo (divination and psychic diagnosis), limpias (ritual cleansings and purifications), and florecimiento de virtud (“flowering” or awakening of auspicious health, shamanic vision, and right action). As a visionary sojourn focused on “re-membering” ourselves within the Anima Mundi (World Soul) that permeates our beloved Pachamama (Earth Mother), this workshop will provide a heartfelt initiation into Peru’s ancestral healing arts.

Oscar Miro-Quesada originated the Pachakuti Mesa tradition of cross-cultural shamanism. He is the visionary founder of The Heart of The Healer (THOTH) Foundation, and is a United Nations (UN) Observer for the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. He is a respected kamasqa curandero and altomisayoq adept from Peru and a Fellow in Ethnopsychology with the Organization of American States (OAS). Oscar has been guiding expeditions to sacred sites of the world since 1986, runs his Pachakuti Mesa apprenticeship programs, and teaches internationally. His work has been featured on CNN, Univision, A&E, and the Discovery Channel.
