There is nothing like the Rowe Men’s Wisdom Council any where. If you want to rediscover your passion, to say “yes!“ to finding a dream worth living, the men of this Wisdom Council are calling to you. Each year, men return to drink from the rich waters of the male spirit, of wildness and wonder. We draw sustenance from the deep, emotional, and passionate brotherhood that blossoms in this unique environment.

Tears, laughter, ritual, myth, and masculinity weave together as men cultivate a community far beyond the limited expressions of the male role in ordinary life. Both tender and tribal, this community creates safe and sacred spaces where men can unmask and unburden themselves, face their fears, speak their truths, and heal from wounds they have carried for decades.

Modern man lives in a constricted psychic space. Isolated and estranged from ourselves and from others, our souls shrivel. Unfamiliar with the great rhythms of nature that created us and unsure how to participate in the cosmic story, we labor in the pursuit of “success,” often at the expense of our health. Real friendships and a vibrant, living spirituality often exist only as hazy memories in a vanished paradise associated with our childhood and youth.

We invite you to open the door to all you have forgotten, to reclaim your potential to be heroic, to connect with a larger, more sacred story. Through ritual, breathwork, soul encounters, community, and communion, we discover a self far larger than the one we thought we knew. Men arrive — excited and nervous, longing to build friendships and to rekindle the fire in our hearts, longing to find a place we belong. Many find the way from the head to the heart and are stunned, even shocked, by the richness of our inner lives. Others rediscover creativity and depart having created a mask, written a poem, told a story, or sung a song. We invite you, we encourage you, to leap from the ordinary to the extraordinary.

The Council will be directed by Sparrow Hart, who co-founded this annual event 14 years ago. Involved in men’s work for more than 25 years, he created the Mythic Warrior Men’s Training and leads vision quests and workshops across the country that focus on living from our authentic selves. The staff includes Tim Dalton, Dan Roden, Larry Murphy, and Blasé Provitola.

“Men’s Wisdom Council introduced me to my real life and gave me the courage to start living it.”
