Wonder Camp is summer camp for adults, five days of friendship and laughter, group sharing and relationship building. Was summer camp magical for you? Come to Wonder Camp and feel that spirit again. If you missed that joy in your youth, it’s not too late. Join us. We love to sing, talk, eat fabulous food, lie under the warm sun, laugh with the moon, and sing with the stars. We have fun playing games and being goofy, but there are quiet times, thoughtful moments for sharing our sorrows and our joys.
Workshops in previous years have included writing, tee-shirt making, avantgardening, sexuality and spirituality, morning yoga, belly dancing, and trips to Mass MoCA, Shelburne Falls, and lovely local areas. In the evenings we danced, we rocked at our fabulous coffeehouse, we gathered around the bonfire, and the Wondrous Treasure Hunt has become legendary an evening of mystery and magic. Mostly, Wonder Camp is what you make it, so this year will be new and different.
We have created a community of unconditional acceptance where you can allow your true self to emerge. The extraordinary people make Wonder Camp what it is. Bring your friends to share in this amazing experience. The staff and many of the campers have a strong history with Rowe Camp, whose spirit of honesty, creativity, and respect resonates deeply. Please join us. You deserve it and you will love it!
The only requirement is a willingness to escape your normal life for a retreat that is playful and fun. We are creating a community of friends built on the foundation of experiencing a joyful way of looking at life. Summer camp is not just for kids anymore. Hougen is an established artist who brings art, collage, love letters, paper-play, calmness, fun, creativity, and great enthusiasm. Julie Eastin, finally finishing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology and women’s studies, brings her love of laughter, music, dance, and intense conversation. Mike Stevens, one of the most playful adults ever, will lend his boundless energy to games and other activities.
“First imagine the best week of your life. Then mix in a giant game of Candy Land which everyone wins, played while bouncing on a trampoline and getting fed fresh cinnamon biscuits by the nicest space aliens you could ever meet; all this while there is the peaceful feeling that nothing bad is going on with the world. This is what Wonder Camp is like.” Jacinta Bunnell
As a first time camper, I had no idea what to expect. Wonder Camp is a place for your spirit to play. It was amazing, full of laughter, creativity, and connection. I could not take the smile off my face for the whole session. Anna Heller
