Who is Emmanuel? He has answered, “I am you without your fear.” Ram Dass sees him as a kindly, loving, and wise uncle. He’s the presence of love and wisdom, full of warmth and inspiration. He says we all know the truth. It is our essence. Our task is to live it, which is why a retreat can be such a help. Practice is easier in a community.
Emmanuel stirs the embers of our remembering who we really are, cutting through our habitual ways of seeing ourselves, releasing us from the prisons we create out of our fear. The fulfillment of our hopes and dreams isn’t some childish wish — it is the promise of our soul. As we begin to experience our lives as love, we move into the realm of unlimited possibilities.
The workshop will begin with a simple and powerful meditation. Then Emmanuel will answer our most important personal and universal questions, thoughtfully and personally, with a gentle and often wry sense of humor. As we listen, we begin to see ourselves more gently, more sweetly, and with compassion. We are returned to ourselves and need no other voice than our own heart’s knowing. Our pain stems from turning away from our own truth, so he brings us back to the ultimate authority of our heart’s voice. Love is, after all is said and done, the only thing that’s real. And let’s celebrate our courage to agree to be human — again and again.
