Learn a revered but rare method of Qigong Healing Exercise from China, called Taoist Taiji Ruler. While keeping the hands about a foot apart and moving them through various gestures, Qi, life force, gathers in the body’s vital reservoirs and circulates through the major meridians. Both the ancient founder and first modern teacher of Taiji Ruler lived to age 118. The Taiji Ruler is part of classical Taoist energy cultivation for health and longevity. It improves coordination, deepens the breath, and promotes inner peace. With regular practice, those who practice feel merged with the Tao, the spirit of nature.

In addition to learning the major techniques in the Taoist Taiji Ruler system, we will practice methods of relaxation and meditation, including “Embryonic Respiration,” a method of ultra slow and quiet breathing that restores child-like vitality. Ken will also explore the Tao Te Ching, the 4th Century B.C. classic of Taoist philosophy, as a guide book for inner harmony, mystical awareness, and balanced living. An enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, Ken always allows time for questions and discussion of other elements of Taoist healing practice and wisdom. The course is open to beginners and all levels.
