We are pleased to include in our workshop announcements those of our neighbor, Shantigar, a not for profit foundation where artistic and spiritual practices meet. Located in Rowe, just over the mountain from us, it is the home of playwright Jean-Claude van Itallie, who in the 60’s wrote and rehearsed plays here that became highly successful. In the 70’s Jean-Claudes Buddhist teacher, Trungpa Rinpoche, wrote his famous Shambhala teachings while on retreat here. Currently the workshops take place in an elegant carpeted white octagonal tent with windows among woodlands and fields of wildflowers.
